Everything you need to know.

Straight answers to common questions about safety, features, and updates.

Is Audic safe and private to use?
Yes, 100%. Audic is an open-source project licensed under GPL-3.0 with publicly auditable source code on GitHub. We offer two build flavors: the FOSS version contains zero tracking and zero telemetry. If you choose the GMS version, Google Firebase is included strictly for crash diagnostics and error tracking to help us fix bugs quickly.
Why download from GitHub instead of the Play Store?
App store rules restrict background playback and offline caching features. Distributing directly via GitHub gives you an unrestricted, premium listening experience without corporate limitations.
How do I get the latest updates?
Audic includes an automatic in-app release checker. Whenever an update is published to GitHub, you will receive an instant prompt to install the newest build in one tap.
Can I import my existing Spotify or YouTube playlists?
Yes! Just copy any public playlist URL from Spotify or YouTube and paste it into Audic to instantly sync your entire song catalog.
Are iOS, Windows, or Mac versions planned?
Audic is engineered natively for Android with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Web player and desktop companion versions are actively in development.
